Engineering expertise for the systems your business depends on
Business applications, distributed platforms, aging architectures: the systems your company runs on deserve better than available hands. Hconsul brings senior engineering expertise to your projects — to design soundly, build solidly, and actually ship to production.
What drives our decisions
Technology is only worth the problem it solves
Behind every technical request there is a business stake. A response time that drives users away. An application nobody dares touch before a regulatory deadline. A team spending more time fixing than building. Our first job is to trace the request back to that stake, because an elegant solution applied to the wrong problem is still an expensive failure.
Technical rigor is not a pose
We write code meant to be read, picked up and changed by someone else. We test what needs testing. We document architecture decisions, not just their outcome. That standard is not a luxury: it is the difference between a system you improve for ten years and one you throw away after three.
Pragmatism over conviction
Hexagonal architecture only makes sense if the domain is complex enough to justify it. Microservices imposed on a team of four multiply problems instead of solving them. We pick the simplest solution that answers the need durably, and we will say when a fashionable pattern has no place in your system.
A relationship built to last
We are not trying to become indispensable. Documentation, knowledge transfer and your team’s autonomy are part of every engagement. Our success is measured by what your team can do after we leave — not by how long the contract runs.
Five areas, one standard
Each area sets out what we take on, what it changes for you, and the kind of work we do.
We build business applications and APIs in C# and .NET, structured to stay changeable: split along domain lines, dependencies pointing inward, tests where they actually protect something.
We work on new systems and on existing ones that have to keep running while they evolve. On anything performance-sensitive — high volume, latency budgets, heavy concurrency — we measure before we optimize. Performance assumptions are almost always wrong until someone instruments the thing.
What it changes for you
Predictable releases instead of announcements. Maintenance costs that do not compound. A codebase your own developers can work in without bracing for a regression.
Typical engagements
- Building a business application end to end
- Rebuilding a backend that has hit its load or maintainability ceiling
- Designing REST APIs that are documented, versioned and built for their consumers
- Tuning critical paths: queries, queues, overnight batches
- Reinforcing a product team through a heavy phase
Five steps, in this order
Understand
Before proposing anything, we spend time with your business and technical teams. We read the existing code, look at past incidents, listen to what gets in the way day to day. The step ends with the problem restated in writing — if we do not agree on the problem, discussing the solution is pointless.
Design
We propose a target and a path to it, with the trade-offs stated. Every option comes with its cost, its risk and what it commits you to. You decide knowingly; we record the decision and its reasons, so that in two years someone can understand why it was made.
Build
We work in short iterations, each ending with a demo on a real environment. Code is pushed to your repository from day one. Tests and documentation are not a final phase: they move with the development.
Ship
A feature is not done until it is in production and being used. We handle the release, watch it closely for the first days, and fix what drifts. Operations documentation and handover to whoever takes over are part of the delivery, at no extra cost.
Improve
We measure what shipped: real performance, incidents, user feedback. Those measurements feed the next iteration. A system in production is a hypothesis to verify, not a closed project.
What you actually get
Genuinely senior expertise
Hconsul was founded by a software engineer with more than ten years on complex enterprise systems. The person who analyzes your problem is the person who builds the solution.
Pragmatism as a method
We choose the simplest solution that holds up over time. We turn down oversized architectures and technologies adopted for their novelty.
Direct communication
No sales layer between you and the engineer. You get a reasoned technical opinion, including when it runs against what you asked for.
Quality you can check
Readable code, tests where risk justifies them, architecture decisions written down. You can audit our work at any time: it is in your repository.
Value that outlives the engagement
Documentation, knowledge transfer, reversibility planned from day one. We build your autonomy, not your dependence.
Flexibility within a clear frame
Time-and-materials or fixed price, short engagement or long-term support, on site or remote. The format adapts to your organization, not the other way round.
Agile in practice, not in pitch
Short iterations, regular demos, priorities open to revision. Agility as a way of working, not as a sales argument.

This is where our depth is. We do not force a technology onto a context: when your system runs on a different stack, we say so and point you elsewhere.
Engineering problems that recur across industries
Our expertise is in engineering problems that show up in very different settings: volume, traceability, regulatory constraints, integration with something old. Those stakes take different shapes by industry.
Financial services
Full traceability of operations, evolving regulatory requirements, high transaction volumes, and legacy systems that have to coexist with modern architectures.
Insurance
Unusually complex business rule engines, contracts managed over decades, integration between underwriting, policy administration and claims.
Retail and commerce
Seasonal load peaks, synchronization across sales channels, real-time inventory, and logistics integrations.
Healthcare
Confidentiality of sensitive data, interoperability between heterogeneous systems, access traceability, and continuous availability.
Industry
Collecting and processing production data, bridging industrial and information systems, supervision.
Public sector
Accessibility and data sovereignty requirements, long decision cycles, extended maintenance horizons, and heavy documentation duties.
Digital platforms
Scaling, multi-tenant architecture, exposing APIs to third parties, and frequent deployments.
Hconsul is a recently founded company. This section describes the technical stakes of these industries — it is not a client list.
A first conversation, no strings attached
Describe your situation: a project to launch, an application hitting its limits, an architecture decision to settle, a team to reinforce. We answer with an analysis, not a brochure.
The first scoping session runs about 45 minutes and costs you nothing. You leave with our written reading of your problem and a first estimate — whether or not you continue with us.
